Royal Holiday Vacation Club and RCI Deposits

First year with Royal Holiday Vacation Club, can anyone explain the pros/cons with RCI deposits?
I am aware that Royal Holiday has an affiliation with RCI.

I am not familiar with Royal Holiday Vacation Club. However, RCI deposits are great for trading into resorts outside of your network. You will need to pay an exchange fee once you make your trade. This can be to trade into thousands of domestic, and international locations. Only put it up for deposit if you do not have a place in mind to stay within your network of resorts this year.
