I've long figured it was just a matter of time before Raintree got taken over by someone. I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner.

Dear Member,

Since its inception in 1997 with the acquisition of the three Club Regina Resorts in Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, and Los Cabos, Raintree Vacation Club has grown significantly. What began as a program allowing Club Regina members to choose their annual Mexican destination evolved into a network of 16 resorts across Mexico, the United States, and western Canada.

I am pleased to announce a new chapter in Raintree Vacation Club’s ongoing growth. Royal Holiday, a leading vacation ownership company based in Mexico City with offices in Latin America, Europe, and the United States, has acquired the management of Raintree Vacation Club and its three flagship Club Regina Resorts. This acquisition represents Royal Holiday's next phase of growth after over 40 years in the vacation industry.

Under Royal Holiday's management, RVC Members can expect accelerated refurbishment and renovation at the three Club Regina Resorts, and access to Royal Holiday's extensive destination portfolio of 180 destinations in 52 countries, allowing you to stay at the best hotels, affiliated resorts, villas, and condominiums around the world. In addition, Royal Holiday offers personalized travel options and services, including cruises and flights, exclusive discounts, and enhanced exchange and travel opportunities.

For more information about Royal Holiday, please visit www.royal-holiday.com.

Following a short transition period, Royal Holiday will assume the management of Raintree Vacation Club and the three Club Regina Resorts and will continue business as usual for our Members. All Raintree Resorts in the United States will also be part of Raintree Vacation Club under your Membership as will our exchange relationships with RCI and Registry Collection. You will make reservations and have access to Member Services just as you always have. Your 2025 Maintenance Fee statement will be sent within the next week. The payment process remains unchanged, and payments should continue to be made to Raintree Vacation Club. As in previous years, these fees will support Member Services, Member Experiences, and Resort Operations.

We are confident that this transition will maintain the high-quality member services and experiences you currently enjoy and also open up exciting new vacation travel possibilities. Our goal remains the same as it has always been - to help Raintree Vacation Club Members create wonderful vacation memories with the same friendly faces to greet you with a warm 'Welcome Home' upon your arrival.

Best wishes for your future travels,

Doug Bech
Chairman and CEO

Can anyone tell what this means for Whistler resorts under Raintree? It doesn't say anything about Canada, only US and Club Regina.

Just returned from Club Regina in PV. Over the years got to know Alberto the GM. Had breakfast with him (No, not a presentation lol)... We are/were also Whisky Jack RVC members.
He really did not know for sure what would happen to the Whisky Jack owners, however, he did say that RVC was NOT shutting down, people would continue to pay their MF's to Raintree, Raintree would operate under the Royal umbrella, no new memberships would be sold and Raintree would continue to exist until the last membership expired. High likelihood of course that Royal will be approaching RVC members and trying to switch them.
Why did I say we are/were members? We sold both out Ironwood units last year when the HOA conglomerated? the individual titles on a few units and sold them as full title condos. Amazingly our two units were within the few that happened to. Having nothing left to deposit we used all remaining points and bid RVC farewell!
