I am going to get a 5 night package to travel Europe and use the hotel part in Rome.

What would be the best place to stay taking into consideration the new category changes happening soon?

Thanks in advance for any help.

YES, YES, YES. We used Marriott Reward points at the Boscolo Exedra Roma and it was one of the neatest hotel stays we've ever experienced. Yes, it was luxury, unique and special. The breakfast for Elite members was quite a FEAST. Breakfast even included a salad bar. Book it NOW.

We're staying there soon too.......the new name is Palazzo Naiadi.
My daughter and her husband stayed there last Fall and said it was fantastic.
It'll be our first stop (several nights) on our way to Cinque Terre, Tuscany & Florence.
Can't wait.
We'll hopefully return next year for Italy Phase II--- and do Venice, Positano & Amalfi Coast, Capri, Sicily.

We spent 10 nights at the Boscolo Exedra this past Sept and LOVED it! Gave us a GREAT upgrade, beautiful LARGE room, "the crown molding in the room was amazing" and the complimentary breakfast was wonderful! Wonderfully located hotel! Fantastic staff!! I reserved the smallest room using points and the room they upgraded us too was FANTASTIC!! Had a balcony also. :):)

We stayed at the Rome Marriott Grand Hotel Flora a few years ago. It was nice and in a good location. We loved the breakfasts on the roof. I can't comment on whether or not it's the best choice given the new hotel categories. Just that it was a nice place to stay.
