I own several units at Westgate and am looking to sell a couple. Does anyone out there know what the ROFR prices are for a one bedroom and a two bedroom loft at Westgate VAcation Villas are. I would hate for a bidder to go through the hassle of an offer only to have Westgate take the unit.
Hopefully someone out there has gone throught this process. Thanks for any info since as tuggers , and informed owner is always a good thing. Dave C.

ROFR may not apply

First let me say if you own multiple weeks at Wastegate I feel your pain! Second take a look in your Disclosure documents to verify that your ownership is even covered under ROFR. If it isn't specifically in there you are NOT bound by it. Tell them to shove it. Weeks without ROFR have a better value to buyers so it makes sense to double check if you have to deal with that nonsense or not.

I have had Westgate 2 BR+loft units pass ROFR for under $2500. I've also seen some under $500 at other Westgate resorts pass to the new owner. I think they only buy back weeks that they feel they can resell. If they have similar inventory already, they do not exercise ROFR.

When we got rid of what we owned at Seagullville, our concern was not for the buyer.

We were just happy to eject, two weeks for 1/3 of what we paid, 1/2 week for 1/10, and 1/2 week given to charity.

We have not missed them, the annual fees, or the poor trading power.

I doubt that there is any other timeshare resort that has received more complaints, but I could be wrong.
