I can't find this in the reviews section. What is it listed under? I tried Calif Vacation Club, and River Pointe. I seem to remember reading somewhere that it's modular units. Anyone with any experience of the place? Are the units reasonably comfortable?? It seems like a great location and maybe worth trying if the accommodations are fairly decent.

Thanks for the help.

Best,

Ivory

This is how it's listed: Diamond Resorts - RiverPointe Napa Valley (NPV)

I found it on the second page of the reviews for California.

Just as a tip, remember the search function. If you have a word like "Riverpointe" you can avoid scrolling through lists of regional timeshares.

I guess I'm behind times. When did River Pointe become a "Diamond" resort??? I thought they were affiliated with GPP. Can you clarify?

Thanks.

I like Riverpointe

Well, it's not a 5-star property, but it's a good 3-star in a great location. The trailers are nicely decorated outside to look like cottages, and furnished well on the inside. A one BR is a single trailer; a 2BR is a large & a small trailer connected by a patio.
I stayed there last year and am going again next week. We live nearby and had different friends coming and going; it was convenient that the guests had their own separate unit.
They have a clubhouse with a good-sized pool and several hot tubs around the property. They are right on the Napa River (which is why they have to be "mobile" in case of flooding), and there's a bike path nearby.
They have organized activities, but there's enough to do in Napa that we didn't partake of any.
I would recommend it as a great base for exploration of the area.

We stayed there last year, and we liked it so much we're staying there again this year. It is the first time LOML and I said, "Let's do that again next year!" after a timeshare stay. If it weren't for the fact that my Hyatt week can snag this resort anytime I want to, I'd actually consider buying a resale here.

Prose:

1) Location, location, location. It's walkable to downtown Napa, and 400 wineries are within a 45 minute radius.
2) Quaint, comfortable single-wide trailers, masquerading as cottages.
3) Free wine-tasting at least once during the stay -- done by a really good sommelier last time we were there. Friendly staff. No hassles, no calls for timeshare tours, no parking BS.

Khans:

1) Napa floods occasionally in the winter. So, our floor was "soft" in spots but not annoyingly so.
2) It's a trailer. Either you're OK with that, or you aren't.
3) As per most timeshares, if you're going to cook your own meals, bring a pot, a pan, and a decent knife. No oven, but the BBQ grills are gassed up and convenient. (Napa markets have every ingredient and beverage you could possibly want -- foie gras and organic eggs with vintage champagne for breakfast? No problem.)

We're going in April. Uusually we don't bring cooking supplies to a timeshare. Are you saying this one particularly is lacking, Scoop?

Liz: What did you exchange for Napa? Which exchange company and how long did the exchange take? TIA

Actually I found it searching RCI with my SA week, Lowveld Lodge, and decided to take it as the week would expire otherwise. I means I have to rent out the Welk Desert Oasis we had previously booked, but this sounded like fun and I like Napa. It was a bulk banking, maybe 2-3 months ago.

Thanks

I appreciate the feedback on the resort. It sounds like it will work out fine for us. Also thanks for the help with locating the review. The reviews were mostly all positive, so that's good enough for me.

ScoopLV is a gourmet cook, so I am guessing that the kitchen equipment in most timeshares does not meet his needs.
