If they called you unsolicited it's bound to be a scam. Pay an upfront fee and never get a rental.

Thank you for your reply. I'm a Marriott owner and I listed my unit with Redweek. I was contacted by Rialto stating they had an interested buyer. I usually rent through Redweek or Concierge Realty.

@maxies According to their website, there is no fee to list with them. They make money by adding an up charge to your requested rental charge. Their website was created 8/23/22 so relatively new. I can find no reviews on the internet, nor do they have a BBB profile. What bookings they have listed on their website appear to be over priced to me. They have zero risk as all they do is take someone’s week and add an up charge.

They do have an LLC filed with Florida. However, what I do not know is if they are required to have a broker’s license in the state of Florida. There is no record with the state of them being licensed.

My opinion is that you would have better luck with your current renting process than hoping a renter finds this new company on the internet, finds your week and is willing to pay a premium to the company. Of course, you then would need to pray that this company actually sends you your portion of the rental proceeds.

Sounds kind of like the Vacation Candy business model. If they have a renter willing to rent your week that is on Redweek, there is nothing wrong with it. Just don't send them money.
