Enter Amtrak in the search. Scroll through.

I've used the codes before and they've worked. There are blackout dates.

You may have to sign up, but it's simple if I recall.

I am a huge fan of Amtrak myself. We paid for a roomette and enjoyed our trip from Denver to Glenwood immensely. Rick would love to go to San Francisco next time and stay in one of the Shell resorts for about five nights.

We have been building points in our Ultimate Rewards Chase and Starwood credit card accounts through manufactured spend and have perfected it (until things change with Chase and Starwood because this can be shut down at any time). The number of points required are very reasonable for the rooms. It's one of the best ways to use both Starwood and UR points.

I agree.
Doug has the Amtrak credit card. He is not fond of flying, so the overnight sleeper from NYP - Florida works great for us. We enjoy the trip, but it does get long and sometimes the motion of the train does not make for a good night's sleep. I love the scenery, catch up on reading and resting. Love that we can roll our bags on/off with the help of the porter.

The required points have gone up, but still good value.

The roomette on the east coast run has a very odd toilet set up (no privacy), so we use more points for the bedroom liner room where the bathroom/shower/sink is in the room, but has walls around it - the size of a phone booth.

If we run out of points, it's pricey, but still worth it to us. Hope the coupon helps someone who doesn't have points.
