I have several $10 certificates in my Account that were given to me because I purchased certificates when they were offering a special. I am trying to use one of them now to purchase a certificate for a specific restaurant. The certificate is $25., but should normally be $10. However, they are now offering a 60% off special. I chose the certificate from my account that I want to redeem. Then when I choose the restaurant, I am getting a message that is telling me that I do not have enough credit in the account to purchase that certificate. What am I doing wrong? Also, if I am using the $10 gift cert. can I still get the 60% off?
Edited to add, if I go to my account and add the restaurant that I want to purchase to my cart, when I then try to use the $10 certificate, the restaurant I have in my cart disappears, and I get this message: "You do not have enough credit available for this dining certificate!"

I had the same problem. I called their Customer Service. You have to redeem this $10 certificate for the restaurants that have $10 gift certificates offered only-not the ones that have $25.
Usually these are the cheaper cafe or pizza type places.
Hope this makes sense. If not, I'll try to clarify it for you or call Restaurant.com directly-they are very nice and helpful.
I also complained about their web site which is terribly slow to load up and was told they are aware and are trying to fix the problem!

When you have a $10 certificate is is good for a $10 certificate IT IS NOT $10 CASH to be spent towards certificates. $10 restaurant.com certificates are usually, but not always, good for lunch redemptions. They are the only ones you can get for your $10 certificate, you can't spend them like cash towards a $25 cert.

It is SUPER. Thanks for the replies. I had 1 - $25 certificate. It made sense to save it and use it for when restaurant.com does not have a 50%or 60% off. I think the email I received also said that you would receive a $10 certificate for each purchase. The $10 ones are rather difficult to use unless you can do lunch frequently.

stategy for best use of rest.com

There are a few times where there are 70% off certificates-usually the end of the month when the best rest no longer have any certificates left. Last 70% off sale I bought $300 for $90. I can redeem these the first of the month when there is good availability. Most are for $25 and you need to spnd $35 so a $35 meal costs $7 plus $10 or $17 plus tax and tip.
I have had a couple times where rest were closed and rest.com has immediately issued me a credit,
I used to use entertainment but the quality of places where I have a book has really gone down. they may own rest.com as they advertise them on their web site. Anyone know for sure?
