Good Day to all.

I was recently contacted by a Michael at KC Processing, as my information was passed along to him from resortsandrentals. Somone from Space Coast Credit Union is suppose to be sending me a contract to purchase my "bonus weeks". All I would have to do is pay a luxury resort tax fee upfront to get a guaranteed amount per each week. This deff sounds like a scam. But I just wanted to confirm if anyone has ever heard of any of these companies. Also, is there even such a thing as bonus weeks you earn that you can pay a small fee for your family members to stay at a resort for a week.

Scam. The "luxury resort tax" is an interesting add-on by the scammer to get your cash and disappear.

100% a scam. Why would a legitimate credit union be sending the contract? They use these names to make them seem legitimate. The contract may say SCCU on it, but it certainly won't be from them. This outfit will dissapear with your money. Don't fall for it.

You can't rent bonus weeks you get through RCI or II. It is a violation of the terms and conditions. If someone wants to rent your week, tell them to take their commission from the rental proceeds.

Avoid and stop all communication with these people. Don't answer the phone when they call. They will quickly go away.

Thank you everyone. I don't even see where I can login to RCI from the HGV portal.
I don't own with HGV but you may have an RCI account but you are not allowed to rent RCI for profit. Its against policy. There are lots of these companies that make the claim, usually saying they will rent to corporate clients and get you tons of money. Two problems...1. You are not allowed to do this and 2. They never will do it.,,, It is ALLabout the upfront fee. Once they have the money, there's no incentive for them to help you. Plus...They never were going to in the first place.

Good for you for catching it.

Did you call SCCU and ask them?

If you are a member of RCI you can get bonus weeks. They are last call. You don’t earn them. They are available to any member.

It's right on my dashboard for HGVC members, not sure if it's the same for HVC? Click the blue Explore link.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get out of timeshare if you still have a loan attached to it.

No you cannot, unless you default on the loan with expected consequences. You may not even be able to if you pay off the loan without defaulting on MF and getting foreclosed and taking a credit hit. But I don't know anything about Hilton Diamond Resorts VA Beach.

There is no way to sell (or otherwise part company with) a timeshare that has an associated outstanding loan balance, other than to just stop paying and default on the loan. This would have some credit score consequences (...if you care about that). Paying off the loan balance, even if that is an available option for you, might well also be just "throwing good money after bad" for something that may have little (maybe no) resale value anyhow, even with the loan completely satisfied. Sad, but nonetheless true. :(
