Resort on Cocoa Beach

I'm thinking of buying a mid April fixed ocean front week. I think it's week 15.

I know that this is a desirable week at a desirable resort. The only problem for me is that it would be unlikely that I would be able to use this particular week. I love the resort and I would love to be able to go there yearly in July or maybe June when I can go. Would I be able to somehow exchange this week 15 for an oceanfront June or preferably July week at this resort?
...maybe there is some way of sort of doing an in-house exchange?

Any thoughts or tips would be appreciated.

Yes, possible to exchange. But, if you really want to buy to use, I would suggest you wait until the right one comes along.

Concur with what Michelle said.

I had four weeks at ROCB but they were all floaters, one in A Pool, three in B Pool. I just sold two weeks and have two oceanfront B Pool weeks left that we use in May. One is a Saturday start, the other is a Sunday start but ROCB has always made it so the two weeks run consecutively -- no gap, no overlap.

I didn't often need to exchange because I made reservations for the weeks I wanted. Now and then, a renter would ask for a different week and most of the time, I was able to get it. ROCB charged $35 to make the change.

Frankly, I would take the Week 15 OF unit. As long as you have some flexibility in what summer week you want, you should be able to do an exchange. Alternatively, look for an A Pool oceanfront floater. They don't appear very often and are pricey when they do.

ROCB is one of our favorites and we will probably continue to go there for two weeks in May until we are no longer able to travel. The bedding arrangement is okay for the two of us but could be a problem for some families. The second BR has two twins.

Oceanfront or ocean view?

Being a fixed week, it may be a penthouse unit (top floor). They are not really any different than the units on the next highest floor but you get to park in a special area. I wouldn't pay $7,000 for it but I'm too old to expect to get much use out of it. YMMV, almost literally.
