Thanks for the invite, Puck, but we'll be at Hilton Head. Sorry to miss you! My niece is a marine biologist at the Aquarium - I'll warn her that you're coming. :D

I guess the B's have to win at home eventually!!! Be honest..If you had a chance to swap rosters with the Bolts, would you do it!!!???

Boston is usually a house o' horrors for Bolts... I think we have 4 wins there in 24 years!!!!

Puck, We need to clarify the rules. Do we count Maui Ocean Club and Manor Club as two resorts each, or only one each? I have 30 resorts at this point, but that includes two each for Maui and Williamsburg. We have several weeks of travel lined up for this winter, but at this point it looks like they will all be repeats, mostly Harbour Club and Grande Ocean.

good evening....

I counted MM1 and MOC as they had separate II codes...

I guess that's cheating a little...

but it's all in good fun!!!

no prizes!!!

I actually think that is the right way to count them. I think Maui Ocean Club and Manor Club are the only two like that. So it seems that I will in fact have a 30-to-29 lead as of year-end. Yes, all in good fun!!

They may have separate II codes, but they are now both listed in the II resort directory as a single resort. Where a while back they were listed separately. So as long as you visited both before they combined the resorts in the directory, then you can count both. If the first visit was after, then it doesn't count. They count as only one resort.:p

Grande Vista, Waiohai, KoOlina all have multiple II codes, do they count as separate visits?

I am just kidding of course. The pioneers write the rules...

Recognizing the "kidding" nature of your response, I don't think II codes are really what is important. In the case of Manor Club and Maui Ocean Club, there are really two distinct experiences (especially Maui) with very different quality and nature of accommodations. In Maui, even the maintenance fees differ from the old section to the new towers, and the DC directory lists them separately. The more I think of it, perhaps only Maui should count as two resorts.

good afternoon

RC...

what was that about a Bolts loss???? :whoopie::whoopie:

In all seriousness.. The B's had a great 8 year run 8 straight playoffs, 1 cup 1 final... except for that blown 3-0 lead to Flyers , it was awesome. Ihope the bOlts can duplicate that!!!

To quote Herb Brooks from MIRACLE....

"their time is done, it's over'... It's a rebuild....

Enjoy the Bolts and root for them...it's really OK...

I knew you'd be in here, Puck! Ugh, this Bruins season is going to be as hard to watch as the last Sox season. The only thing good about a rebuilding year is getting to see the young talent develop - but that's why I watch the minor leagues. ;)

No proof that it's happening but they seem to be holding their youngsters hostage to a more-strict "good behavior" requirement that maybe other teams aren't. I don't blame them for getting rid of kids who don't want to buckle down to the regimen but it can't all be about what's happening off-ice.

Ugh...but it was close for two periods!

BTW, going to Waiohai end of Jan for 3 weeks...ocean view...what is the best Hale to request? haven't been there in a couple of years and I cannot find my property layout.

Also...anyone know the best usage for points in a "holding" account which will expire at 12/31...can they be used for anything other than a ressie?

good evening....

You can use " penalty box" points for ressie for yourself or a friend. I just booked 3 nights at Lakeshore 12/3-12/6 in 3 bedroom Townhouse with mine. I was under the gun as I was a dummy and missed the banking deadline...

Of course, short term last minute ressies are easier for me as I have 20 resorts within 8 hr drive , over 10 within 3 hrs....

RC come to Florida... you can be my guest at a Bolt game... I will get you a jersey...just ask Greg those Bolt jerseys rock!!!!

Great choices on your restaurants. We just returned from a week at the Custom House. We tried a new Greek restaurant, Doretta Taverna, in the Back Bay. Great food, a lot of small plates to share if with a group. Owner/Chef Michael Schlow did a great job with this restaurant. The Taverna sits of the same site as the former Via Matta restaurant which Schlow, a James Beard Award of Excellence winner, also owned.
