We purchased a resale week(EOY) for DSV11 back in July. All went smoothly and closing agent told us it was submitted and we just had to wait for Marriott to add to our Marriott account. We own other weeks and Abound points. Still waiting for notification from Marriott that it is in our account but no word. I reached out to closing agent a few weeks ago but had no response from her.

We own another week with DSV11, and I know the maintenance fees are due early January so I called and spoke to an MVC rep who transferred me to a supervisor in the contract department. Turns out the recorded deed had an incorrect letter on the deed number indicating even year rather than odd year. So now I am back in contact with company that handled closing to rectify the problem. I'm disappointed that all of this happened, and that closing company didn't inform me (from what I understand they were made aware in the past number of weeks).

The positive thing is that the person that I was redirected to in MVC contract department was very helpful. He gave me his e-mail address and did all he could to address my concerns. I know the maintenance fees are due soon, so he processed that for me to avoid late fees and also changed the current reservation for the resale week. The reservation with the new week was for late March and we have other plans so I was planning on changing the date or depositing in Interval, so he changed the reservation to Dec. 2025, so we have more time to make plans. Anyway, I hope we can get it all cleared up soon, but I was grateful for his help and what he was able to do to adjust the reservation.

I'm curious....who did you use to close and transfer this week (that didn't notify you of the incorrect alpha character on the deed) ?

I used TRCS. I had used them for a previous resale purchase and all had gone smoothly. No, they didn't notify me of the problem. I did speak to someone there today and the closing agent is supposed to get back to me tomorrow. From what I gathered from the MVC rep TRCS was notified but I had not been notified by them of the glitch. They were just telling me that Marriott is taking a long time to transfer the ownership. I will let the agent know of my disappointment that they weren't upfront with me. Of course, now when I review the paperwork, I do see the discrepancy but isn't that why we use a closing company to make sure these things don't happen?

Mistakes do happen and they will need to get a corrective deed recorded. It is disappointing that they didn't let you know. Were they aware of the issue when you contacted them?
