Renting at Royals?

You used to be able to rent Royal Sands units from ISCO for about $1400-1500, and the tri royals for $1000 ish for the week in an entire villa. It's been 2-3 years since I tried. The last time I rented was from a Timeshare Today special.

Is there some code, you need to use to get special pricing?

I called yesterday and the prices were middle to high 2K's.

I can rent from owners a lot cheaper, but it seemed a little cleaner to get a unit from ISCO and not worry if it is legit or not.

Thanks in advance.

Try using the classified ads on this site. We have rented from owners and have also placed our units on this site and it works out quite well.

You must be mistaken about renting from ISCO at these prices. I rented a lockout at the Sands three years ago for one night at $165 and last year I inquired about a one night lockout at the Islander and it was again in that $165 range. That was with an owners discount. If you do find a code that gets you rental rates as described about, please share as I know many who would be interested in renting at those rates. The last time I checked I believe it was $2650 for the complete villa for a week.

Rentals

On occasion the Royals will have a special promotion and let ISCO rent out units from $1000 plus, depending on the season. These promotions usually occur when one of the Royals is under construction, or not sold out, as was the case at the Royal Sands. The developer wants to get people to see their offerings, so they reduce the rates. The developer also has to pay the club service fees for any units not sold, so by renting them out they can pay these fees. Members can only get 10% off the regular rates listed by ISCO. There are no special codes other than this discount.

If you rent from an owner, you can call ISCO to verify that they do indeed own the property and their account is in good standing. You need to have the owner's name, which resort, villa number and week owned.

Whenever I have called to confirm ownership, they have been very helpful.

After the rental paperwork has been completed, you can call ISCO and verify that your name is on the reservation.

It will take a couple of phone calls, but at least there is a way to confirm that all is on the up-and-up.

They have a special right now  @ VCI for $999.00. Go to WWW.Royalresorts.com, and a popup window will jump up and show the special. Its not the Sands or TriRoyals but it Close. All villas are 2 bedroom some have 2 baths.

Thanks for the help.
I guess the $1500 Royal Sands deal is probably gone for good. Nice when it was available.

Tony G, that's where I met you at the bar at Kukulkan plaza.

I'll try some of the suggestions available, & or probably buy one again.

June used to be a cheaper week to buy. It doesn't seem that way any more.

I am here on an II Getaway for $949 (Royal Caribbean). We also have gotten good deals from ISCO in the past, but they've been steeper for some time
