rental on ebay request to close deal directly?

I am renting a week I cant use on ebay. Listing is for a fixed price with a submit a best offer option. I received an offer which I declined (too low). He then emails me asking to go outside of e-bay and offered to paypal me directly so I can save the the e-bay fee.
The offer is too low and I am not comfortable doing this but I am wondering whats the risk? I know it violates e-bay policy but isnt it a BIG risk for him and not for me? Just curios, I never rented a timeshare out before. Thanks.

Dont do it...dont do it because they want you to violate ebay rules and dont do it because they would rather break the ebay rules than pay your fair price...I would raise the price for them

Thanks Ron, I wasnt planning to sell to him outside of e-bay. I think its risky on his part to offer to send me $$ via paypal outside of e-bay. Wasnt sure if this was some new scam.
