REMOVE TIMESHARE FROM RCI

I have stopped paying maintenance fees on my timeshare week and want to remove it from RCI. How do I go about doing this? Do I tell them I stopped paying MF and no longer want to own? Or just say that I am no longer an owner at this resort?

Personally I would tell them nothing. My understanding is that even if you no longer own a Week, your account stays open and you can still use it for Extra Vacation Weeks...

If you have an rci weeks account with other weeks, you can leave it in and just know that it isn't available for deposit. If you want to clean up your account, you could let them know on chat to remove it. If it is an rci points week, I would let them know on chat or just let it disappear if it is your only week when you don't renew your rci account. I would let them know you are discontinuing your rci account so they don't try to auto charge you (they do this in points). It doesn't charge your card but keeps your account open with a deficit.

I was not successful to have my TS removed from RCI records despite the fact that it was destroyed by a hurricane and doesn’t trade. It bothered me first two years, but not any more…
