With most of Lahaina destroyed by the firestorm, how about sharing some of your favorite pictures of the way it used to be. I'll get it started with some of mine.

1979: On our first trip to Hawaii, Maui was our first stop.

I had my Aloha Friday picture all set for last Friday and it was a picture in Lahaina. I decided not to post that at that time.

I have quite a few pictures that I will have to go through but here's one looking down Front Street this April.

Here are a few from as far back as 2003 to more recent.

This is a nice thread. Lahaina wasn't my cup of tea in terms of crowds (I went back through my photos and found 1) a million photos of Sliding Sands in Haleakala, 2) snorkeling photos, and 3) sunsets, but no Lahaina photos). It brought back some fun memories however. My kids took surfing lessons off of Lahaina, we ate shave ice from Ululani's near the banyan tree, and we went on the Scotch Mist out of Lahaina once (that was actually a very, very fun sail) and I haven't thought about those things in a long while. Thanks for starting this thread @artringwald .

I found some older pictures from our 2009 trip.

America II yacht. Once raced in the America Cup and then was converted for tourist sailing. We went on it in a previous year and it could cut through the water like a hot knife through butter.

While the fires were happening I had completely forgotten that we have this print on the wall in our home office. We bought it at an art fair under the banyan tree in 1997.
