Did you guess this?

Top Pick: Maui Ocean Club
The most-booked resort for holiday travel is Marriott's Maui Ocean Club, and with good reason. Sitting on 16-acres of lush Maui oceanfront, this resort has everything you need for a Hawaiian vacation: a beautiful beach, restaurants, fabulous pools & activities. Bonus: you can still rent weeks that the resort is sold out of... and at a fraction of their prices! Redweek.com

Well, I guessed Maui. I think it would be a beautiful setting for a family vacation.

I guessed it just because of all the discussion here touting how hard it is to get into at times. Actually have never been to that MVCI in over 20 years of ownership. Want to one day. Just other priorities.

MOC esp Lahaina/Napili towers takes a bucket load of DPs and even more for holidays.

no surprise there, its the top US timeshare resort rented on TUG too. number 5 overall (for 2017 anyway)

the top 4 are all royal resorts in mexico. (sands/islander/caribbean/haciendas)

You'd think selling prices prices would be a bit higher but I guess we're lucky to get prices over three figures these days:bawl:

(Just booked my two weeks for next year......... )

Disney certainly came to my mind, but there are a lot of nice Orlando timeshares that compete with Disney (and multiple Disney properties split the numbers). Maui is always near or at the top of "Best Islands" lists, and has only a handful of top caliber, full-service timeshares, so not a surprise.

I was curious to see what else was on the list (the email from Redweek only teased the top rental), so I looked into this a little more. Last month, Redweek listed it's top rental bookings for Christmas 2018. (Florida's list surprised me.) They were:

Hawaii
Marriott Ko'Olina
Marriott Maui Ocean Club
Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas North
Marriott Waiohai Beach Club
Diamond Resort Point at Poipu

Florida
Wyndham Bonnet Creek
Marriott Beach Place Towers
Marriott Ocean Pointe
Sheraton Vistana Villages

Caribbean
Marriott Aruba Surf Club
Harborside at Atlantis
Aruba Ocean Club
Marriott St Kitts Beach Club

Mexico
Westin Lagunamar
Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach
Hacienda del Mar

Interesting to note that Marriott owns now 13 out of the 16 resorts on this list!

Disney would not be on the list because people rarely use Redweek to rent at Disney.

I've had an easy time getting into MOC both times I tried using my Grande Vista weeks. First was a lockoff for a lockoff for one specific week in Oct. and the trade came thru relatively fast. The other time was a 2BR for a 3BR (I should have tried using a 2BR week to trade first)- for any week in August or Sept. and we got that relatively fast also, for the first week in August. So for those who say it's hard to get into, I'm guessing it's hard in the winter but easy other times of the year?

We very much enjoyed MOC but KBC is much nicer resort (not even considering the villas), IMO.
