Recommendations - Sea Watch Mrytle Beach SC

Hello,
Heading to Myrtle Beach at Sea Watch Plantation and I have never stayed here. I normally stay at Ocean Blvd. I was told that they have renovated all units. Can someone give me some guidance on which building has the best views as they say all are "ocean view". We are taking 2 kids so I want to be near one of the better pool areas also.

Please let me know your recommendations for the best view and location for kids?
- Also if you have stayed here recently - what is your opinion about the renovation? How does this resort compare to Ocean Blvd? Towers on the Grove? Thanks for your help.

We like Sea Watch better than OB or TOG. Better pool locations (sunshine!), better hot tub locations (and lots of them), better grounds / landscape and better room layout IMO. Even nicer shells in the beach.

North and South towers have ocean front and ocean view rooms. I stay away from the 'Villas' because even though some face the Ocean and therefore are called Ocean front, they are set way back in a V shape so you only see a sliver of ocean. Villa rooms may be bigger if that matters to you. A few villas are 'up close' toward ocean but you'd have to be early and lucky to get them (north villa on east end I think).

Some of the North tower ocean fronts are so close to ocean looking strait out that you don't see the cool hapenings down at pool and hot tubs .. but very tranquil. Looking southeast in that tower toward pools is more festive.

Best views fill up fast during ARP period for summer, assuming you have vip 'do not move' priviledge.
