Hello! I inherited some timeshare a few years back from a death in the family. I only put them in my name, and left my husbands name off the acct. In 2020 we put the timeshares into a family trust, where my husband and I are both the trustees. I didn't realize until recently I needed to change the account/ownership with Vistana to the name of the trust. I did all the transfer paperwork and paid the fee, but for the timeshare at Sheraton Vistana Villages, the Title Dept at Vistana said the deed is missing a legal description, so I need to refile the deed and get one with a legal description. I called Orange County, Florida records and they said I would need to have a title company do it for me. I am in California, so I am looking for recommendation for a title company in the Orlando, Florida area. Thank in advance for any recommendations you may have!

A lot of people on TUG will recommend LT Transfers. They're not located in Florida, but they can still handle it for you. Relatively cheap and very reliable.

I used LT Transfers for the purchase of a timeshare in SW Florida earlier this year because of recommendations from other Tuggers. I highly recommend them for both their service and their price. I will certainly be using them again if the occasion arises.

Thank you for your recommedation!

I have used LT Transfers many times - they are knowledgeable, reliable and have competitive pricing. There is no need at all to use a local transfer company.

Thank you! LT Transfers seems to be the popular one!

Who prepared and filed the deed for the transfer to your trust? Was it you or someone else? If someone else, ask them to fix it. The legal description is on your prior deed. If it was you, well you can get the legal description off your prior deed and refile it.

If you want a title company specifically in the Orlando area you can try Timeshare Closings for Less. We've worked with Susie on several purchases (in both CA and FL), and she's been great. She's the default choice of several of the sell-side brokers I've dealt with.

Coudln't find much info on tug other than this 2010 thread, but our experience has been similar (very good).

Hi! I believe it was the attorney that did our trust, and I was thinking the same thing, so I've emailed them and ask if they were the ones who did it. I do have a copy of the legal description off the old deed. It looks fairly simple to do, but if the law firm did it in the first place without adding the legal description, I feel like they should be the ones to correct it! Thanks again!
