Recent experience with wait-list?

I called MVC today hoping to put in a wait-list request and customer representative said they've been having issues with the wait-list system and was unable to get in and it's been like this for a while. He told me to try back tomorrow morning. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

I have experienced this quite a few times and don’t understand why it’s such a frequent issue. But when it does work it works well.

Weird, I just got off the phone setting up a wait list. Took her about 5 minutes. I would call again and hope you get somebody more knowledgeable.

I was able to make a waitlist reservation with a very nice gentleman named Neil. Love TUG for this.

I think that depending on the training, access to certain things are limited to certain CSRs. Instead of admitting this, they just claim that the system isn't working. There are so many times people have said, "I just call back and get a more experienced person to do X," that it can't be a coincidence (although of course it could be.)

I had a waitlist request for one night to complement four other nights at Custom House. The request was placed sometime in mid-August 2024 for a late June 2025 night. This OP got me wondering today if this waitlist request would ever pay off. To my surprise I received an email late this afternoon confirming that my request had been fulfilled. This is after two other separate requests had been fulfilled within a month or so of placing them. So it all seemed to work for me.
