Rick read it to me, I didn't see it, but he didn't have his reading glasses on, so he didn't read the fine print.

I would guess it's a Hilton postcard? Never have I ever been to a Hilton presentation, and I am not breaking my record.

Nonetheless, I still went through the recycle bin to find the mailer to see what it said and couldn't find it amongst all of the other junk mail. Maybe it was a letter.

Sounds like a sales pitch but we have never gotten a hard copy mailed to us like that.

We have received a couple of postcards recently that initially appear to come from Hilton. On closer examination they actually are from companies claiming to be able to get rid of timeshare for owners. They have offered free dinner and $100 gift card if I remember correctly.

I would love to stay at the new Hilton Bay Villas on Maui sometime. If I could get a promotional stay there, even a couple of nights, I would enjoy it.

I'd rather use my points, and not do the sales-pitch.
I consider my time to be more valuable. <jus' sayin'>

@rickandcindy23 Hilton presos are no different than MVC or Vistana. Are you worried they are high pressure for you to buy? We scored a discounted/free stay at Maui Bay Villa for a presentation. The sales reps are former Westin and MVC TS sellers from Kaanapali so not high pressure.

Why do you want to stay in Kihei when you can stay in Kaanapali? IMHO...the Maui Bay Villas and pools are gorgeous and not crowded like the Westin, but I don't care for the location. But that is just me.

The one we simply loved, and would be happy to see again is the Hyatt Vacation Club at the Carmel Highlands Inn. This is like $500+ a night and the deal was something like 2 nights for $199 or $299 plus Hyatt points. One time we went and they did not have enough sales folks, so couldn't do our presentation (darn). But we got all the perks. And they offered us a repeat with the same terms for a future stay. Complete win.

Haven't seen an invite in years, though.

Cheers.

I love Hiltons. I was hoping to get them via exchange someday. Maybe when all of the villas are built, there will be some lower-season weeks deposited. I can always hope.

We love Kihei, and our favorite that is a pretty easy trade is Maui Lea at Maui Hill. We have stayed several times. We have a week already booked via exchange for February of 2026. We stay on Maui for 6-7 weeks during Feb-Mar.

Hono Koa, where we own 3 weeks, is on the chopping block as a zoned apartment complex. I think Maui will take it over in the next few years, and we don't expect the management company to fight the takeover, nor do we want them to fight it. The fees are $3,000 per week owned, and we own 3 weeks. Way too expensive for what it is.

I agree with your sentiments about pool being uncrowded unlike westin Kaanapali. I love the location though. Central to driving around island of Maui. Much easier to visit Iao Needle, upcountry, Hana, etc than from Kaanapali.

Our next trip to Maui in May 2025 we will do the best of both worlds. Spend some time at KAN and then move to MBV.

We also love Kihei and own at Maui Hill. @CalGalTraveler some of us just aren't as enamored of Kaanapali.

@rickandcindy23 you keep saying Maui Hill is an easy trade. We used to find that, but lately it hasn't been. Maybe because we want to go late February through mid March. We trade our fixed week unit (which is end of August) through Trading Places Maui. I am able to get a week, but sometimes it's nail biting, some years I get it really early. But I never see inventory on the TPM site for those months just sitting there. And I haven't gotten a week through RCI in years. How are you getting your easy trades?

I get my Maui Lea trades through RCI. There are mostly summer weeks for next year and after. I see a lot of Maui Hill through Shell's RCI portal and Wyndham's RCI portal. I will post under sightings, so you can see the list. Nothing for Feb-March. But I did get the one for 2/1-2/8/2026 already. I plan to enter ongoing searches for a few more weeks.

When I look through RCI weeks I see nothing for Maui Hill. So you are seeing them through the Shell and Wyndham portals?

Through Trading Places Maui I see Maui Hill for August 2024 and then nothing until June 2025, some September, October and November, then May 2026.
