Received a "last chance" email to deposit weeks with Vida/SFX

We received an email stating we had until October 31 to deposit unused 2018 week. We don't believe there is any downside in not going to the timeshare in 2018 (Cabo site). We don't really want to bank any weeks for the future.
Does anyone have more insight? I am always leary of timeshare companies, are we risking anything by not depositing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This mailer is intended to put you into a position where you have to book a week or weeks using SFX. That way you generate income for SFX.

Most, if not all, Vidanta contracts are right to use. The question to ask is: "If I deposit will I get the value of the Usage Fee back by booking through SFX?" Keep in mind that part of that value has to include what ever exchange fee SFX will charge you when you book.
