We had our Holiday Inn Vacation Club Ridge Tahoe Owner week moved up for this May. So I was able to get us a May 31st checkin date for our 2 Bedroom and the helpful agent called Interval to explain that the resort was opening on May 31st so I was able to rearrnge our Marriott Exchange week for checkin on June 7th in a 2 Bedroom. I had a 2 bedroom reserved at the Tahoe Ridge Sierra with RCI so I called them and changed it to May 23rd at the Summit Village in a 2 Bedroom. As there was a one night gap the Friendly Manager at the Summit bent over backwards and gave us one night for $102 with tax in our 2 bedroom so we don't have to move.
People have been so helpful and the wait time were very minimal. Within 45 minutes I changed our week. I am the type of person who Babysits the reservation so if something happens I like to get ahead of the game. Holiday Inn Vacations was going to do this this week to call us and then the availability may have not bee there and also Interval may have also had to work other reservations to fit in to the new date so I am ahead of the game.
We really love June in Tahoe so for us coming from the Bay Area its only a 4 hour drive so its not like we have to fly. You have to be flexible during these times. If they continue moving the dates I just get back on the phone and change it.
Will Tahoe be the same as last year? No but I am prepared to enjoy a Quiet Lake Tahoe if its open for Tourism and we are healthy why not travel? I am ready to book a European vacation and one to Vegas. Just be cautious and not panic.
Will it be the end of the world if some amenities are limited? No. Just be happy that you can use your weeks.
