Does anyone have RCI point only program?
No MF. Pay for RCI point at 1.5cents for every point. Any one have experience using it, heard of it? Thx

I honestly don't know what RCI Points are not tied to a timeshare and the MF's of that timeshare. 1.5 cents is not all that cheap. Mine are about 1.1 cent per point.

That sounds like one of the travel companies. We've been to several presentations for them and I haven't been impressed with what was available. A lot of Last Call inventory.

We own points weeks at the Vacation Village resort, Grandview at Las Vegas. The highest point two bedroom week gets you 122,000 points annually for $910 in maintenance fees for 2023. That comes out to $0.007 per point. Even if you add in the $134 one year cost of the RCI membership fee it comes out to $0.0085. If you pay for multiple years you get a better price on the membership fees.
1 year - $134
2 years - $249
3 years - $348
4 years - $442
5 years - $539

This is excellent information. Thanks for sharing that. This company sell RCI Platinum points only for$2K upfront cost. Annual membership is $199. The advantage they say is no MF. So no expense in year you don’t use. When you do use you buy points at 1.5 cents. Also it is Platinum membership of RCI which has several benefits. Maybe you can counter this with your vast experience with RCI. Thanks

Don’t know anything about My Timeshare Listing but their website implies that they have been around awhile with “30 years of worldwide Timeshare Resale & Rental experience!” However, their website was created less than a year ago. They would probably argue that the individuals have that experience (could be 30 employees with one year experience) but I consider it deceiving nonetheless.

They have an advertisement in the TUG Marketplace (Ad# 257033)

That is right. This is the Ad I had responded to.

The question I have:

Is the person selling an Agent of this program?
Is this a product of RCI (Platinum membership) has which they have authorized this Agent to sell?

It is a membership and not a Timeshare.

If anyone has heard of it or has experience using it, is why I had posted here.
Thanks

I found some TUG threads regarding:

(1) RCI Pure Points

(2) The seller Marc Thomas (aka TUG Guest MarcT).

Thanks for checking and the info.

I found this on the RCI website about the Platinum points:

I’ve got extra RCI points I’ll let go for a penny a point if you need lol. What a deal in comparison!

In my Opinion - this is somewhat like leasing a car when there is a upfront payment - a monthly cost AND the ability to give the vehicle back & walk away after a specified time period.

In both cases you are paying for the convenience of - " no long tern commitment".
For some this has a value / for others the lower long term cost structure of "buying" makes more sense.

I found this on the RCI website about the Platinum points:
Would you know difference in RCI I and II?
I have HGVC and can only use limited RCI properties. People with WorldMark or RCI can likely use both. Thanks

RCI is more expensive for transaction fees than II. I am getting rid of everything I can in RCI. I still have some I have to use in RCI.

Do you have a low MF RCI property? Can look into it. I do have enough point from my 2 HGVC but exploring how to supplement for easier west coast properties from RCI or Worldmark. Thanks

Could you explain your deal more? $1000 is upfront buying cost, no MF, RCI points you buy at 1 cents when you need. Is that right? Thanks
I was just making a joke. Sorry.

Lotus921v said he would sell at $.01/pt instead of RCI's $.015. RCI had the $2,000 upfont.

Little humor is totally fine. Let's say I buy your RCI point at 1 cents/point,
Can these be used next year or later?
Do they give access to both RCI I and II properties?
How much will be booking fee considering I will be guest?

Correct me if I am wrong: I can buy 50,000 RCI points for $500.

Thanks

I have a similar challenge, but I do like the idea of twice a year to Hawaii and/or Mexico.

Hotels are fine, but small. STRs are great (or crap) but the fees have gotten out of hand.

TS seem a happy medium, but the systems are complicated and you need time to learn them. I haven't used RCI, but am considering it to pickup more time without commitments. I do see some drama with resort fees, parking, etc. that can be tough to justify.

I don't have any RCI points... yet.

And only $1,000 upfront?
Haha. No. Nothing up front. Just a simple transaction if you already have a regular RCI points account
