RCI Points Fixed Week

Still trying to figure out what I own and how to use it.

I bought a biennial fixed week 17 with RCI points. Not knowing what that meant, I deposited my 2012 week into the resort's internal trading system. I just got access to my RCI weeks account this week. It is showing that I have points for 2012.

It was my understanding that if I deposited my fixed week, I wouldn't have access to those RCI points. Is is just a glitch in the system? I am very confused. I don't even know who I should call to ask, the resort or RCI?
 
If you do not reserve your underlying week in RCI Points, you get the points. You do not have access to deposit the underlying week into anything...your week is marked as a points unit.
