Ok, dumb question i know...

Currently i've spend my TS and vacation budget for January, so i can't book anything more till the beginning of next month...I've found the Week and Resort i want to book in RCI, but since i refuse to spend another dime on vacations till 2/1, i can only put it on hold, its 22 TPU

Now onto my question:

If i go in every single day and re-put this week/resort on hold in RCI, and i continue to do this till it is within 30 days of the check in date(Late calls) is it a given that the TPU cost will drop?

Do ALL resorts/weeks within Last Call inventory have lower TPU's costs then before that date?

One more question:

When i put a week on hold, it only tells me that it will hold it for that 'date', is there a specific time of the day they take things off hold, so i can go back in and put in back on hold again before i lose it?

I wouldn't count on this working. When a unit is released, it's a while before it reappears. If someone had an ongoing search for the unit, it might never come back.

I have held something two or three times while checking with family, but only for something relatively easy to get.

I would only chance this if it were something like Orlando in a non-peak time. If it's something I really, really wanted, I'd forget the budget and book it.

Its a 2br week 34 at Kingsgate...not really high demand, but for ME, its the perfect time and location for one of my two summer weeks...i've found two of the exact same weeks/rooms available, so i've been trying to keep atleast one on hold at all times....Hopefully i should be able to keep this up ATLEAST until i get paid on the 15th

The other thing I've seen people report is that sometimes the TPU required goes UP when they do this. All those "Holds" affect the "demand" calculations at RCI, which raises the TPU they ask.

I don't think it would go up (or down) much, though. The biggest risk is losing it to someone who sets up an ongoing search or who sees it before you. I think there's a significant chance of that happening, especially if you try to string it along for a month.

Yes, I can confirm that. I held a week on two consecutive days and saw the TPU go from 20 to 22 at Welk Resort Villas in Escondido, CA.

However, I searched again two weeks later and it was at 20 TPU.
