RCI booking cancellation refund when booked with multiple use year

I have a booking in use year 2025 with 20K points from 2025 and 80K points from 2026.

If I cancel right now, I incur a 50% loss, will that 50% loss lead to 10K + 40K in 2025 and 2026 respectively or 50K in 2026?
 
Anytime I cancel and refund, all my points move forward to my current use year so I’d anticipate getting 50k back to 2026

But in reality the points are different? For example, those coming from 2025 originally will not be able to be saved into 2027
 
I have never had a problem spending points before. But when booking something and canceling in the past, it appeared to bring all the points used up to current year points. (This is in a typical RCI points account and not a portal in from somewhere likeHGVC).
