RCI 20 TPUs

Just signed up to RCI to try them instead of the revamped Trading Places, using the free code on this website. I have been using II for years with good results. I have not used RCI in years since they changed over to the TPU concept. What can I expect for 20 TPUs? Also how does Restore Power Work. Is I deposit my 2025 week now it is worth 18 TPUs is that much of a difference? How much does a ski week in Colorado, Utah, or Tahoe ususally cost or a week in Palm Springs in the fall- October/November. Do closer in bookings cost less as Palm springs is usually a last minute getaway for us.

The difference between 18 or 20 TPUs might be a one-bedroom vs. two. My recently booked Wyndham Galena IL was 11 TPU for a studio, 12 for a one-bedroom. Looking at ski weeks in Colorado for winter 2026, the TPU cost was in the high 20s and above for a 2-bedroom in the Winter Park area. Closer in bookings are usually a TPU bargain, e.g. our 10 days out decision to go to Hilton Head cost 8 TPU for Spinnaker at Shipyard vs. the 24 TPU for Coral Reef at Shipyard we used booking in the fall of 2023 for February 2024. Similar 2-bed unit floor plans but the pool area at Spinnaker was so much nicer.
We also have booked extra vacations without using TPU, e.g. we will be at Worldmark Marina Dunes next month for a week at a cost of $599.
The key to making good use of your TPUs is flexibility and also considering the other benefits your RCI membership might allow.
