Quick question re. banking star options

I have a total of 171,940 star options in 2024 that I may need to bank by Sunday, 6/30. But I'm spacing out... can I use these to book in 2024 for a 2025 reservation eight months out? I typically grab a 2-bedroom at WDW (not our home resort) in March. So I book in July. Can I use these 2024 options in July of this year for that 2025 reservation? So, I would actually only need to bank the remaining 23,840 options by 6/30 (i.e., using the 2024 options of 171,940, minus the 148,100 options for 2025 needed for that 2-bedroom March reservation)? Thanks in advance for clarification!

Yes: You can make Staroptions reservations 8 mos. before the check-in day, regardless of whether the date is this year or next year. UNLESS they expire this year. But, you can also bank all of them and make a 2025 reservation - 8 mos. before check-in. Banking is free now. (I'm not quite understanding why you don't want to bank all of them.) If you are only making 2025 reservations, I'd bank them all.

Thank you. I forgot that now there is no charge for the banking. I'll bank them all now and pull from that list when it comes time for making my 2025 reservation this July. I'm was drawing a blank on how I did it the past couple of years!!! Tough getting old! Thanks again.

You would bank the 171,940 StarOptions. Then in July you would use 148,100 of the “Banked StarOptions” to book your Mar 2025 WDW. The Banked StarOptions will show as available to be chosen when you are finalizing the booking.
