I used to own a mandatory Vistana Villages Key West 81k premium season unit but sold it because the maintenance got too high and we only used it at Lagunamar (I valued that at $1500). I'm less familiar with the voluntary properties so I have a few questions.
  • If I bought a Lagunamar resale, would I be able to use the points at any time of the year at Lagunamar, or only use it for the actual deeded week I purchase?
  • Would I be able to use my resale Staroptions at the Westin Cabo sister property, or only at Lagunamar?
  • If I bought a resale unit, how hard would it be to sell or give away down the line?
  • Lastly, how much should I offer for a 1BR Premium EOY (81k SO) on Redweek that is asking $3,000? I'm thinking $500-$1000 but I really don't know.
I know it has way less value than a Mandatory property, but I'm hoping it would be easy to get rid of when I'm done with it.

Thanks!

Most deeds at Lagunamar are for seasons rather than a specific week. You reserve any week in that season, pending availability.

Keep in mind that Lagunamar is a voluntary resort, so the ability to convert to StarOptions does NOT transfer with a resale. So the only way to book outside of your resort and specific season and/or anything other than one whole week is to exchange through Interval International.

It seems that you should have kept the SVV Key West Prime season. Especially if it was a dedicated 2BR vs. a lock off. Any Lagunamar week you buy won't come with StarOptions and will have a lot less flexibility.
