Hello, I have been watching TS on Ebay for some time and thinking about finally buying. Looking at Seawatch Plantation. Been there a couple times Seems to me the prices are excellent right now. The purchase I am looking at has a July 1st anniversary date and the 2006/2007 points are still available. Here are my questions:
1) I already have 2007 vacation plans so my thought for the 2006/2007 points is to roll them over to the 2007/2008 year (154,000) points. That way in 2007/2008 I would have 308,000 points available. Can that be done?
2) My intention would then be to book a July 2008 week at Seawatch. Question on that is if you own at Seawatch and call exactly 12 months in advance for those prime summer weeks, can you actually get the week that you want every time or is it a case where sometimes you will and sometimes you won't?
3) Finally, as I understand it, to get these prime summer beach weeks you absolutely have to call exactly a year ahead of time. So, how does that work when you have points that are for your current year but if you are required to book 12 months in advance, which is actually in your NEXT year? Can you do it?
Thanks in advance for any help. I just found this BB the other day and it looks like a tremendous resource. Quite overwhelming at first though!! WOW - alot of acronyms!!
