Question regarding booking WKORV-N Oceanfront 365 days out

Tonight I attempted to book 1 bedroom OF. Two choices came up, OF and Ocean view. I quickly indicated OF and within four minutes after the hour a message came back that it was not available, alter the reservation. Is this (1) The site is having problems (2) Marriott has changed its mind and is letting some people book prior to 12 months in advance (even though they said OF could not be book prior to 12 months in advance) (3) Some type of renovation is planned and 75% of the OF units are not available? Has anyone else experienced this? TIA

You own oceanfront? It's tough to get anything. I did get our unit but I was diligent and started the search over again several times. The only option I can book is our deeded view.

Yes, three OF. Has something changed? I book the minute it is available and this is the first time there is NOTHING available. Who and how are the OF units being rented so that within four minutes of reservations opening, there are no more available?

I would try again. Could be a system glitch so no one gets inventory and still availability out there. This happened about a year ago. Worst case call in the am to customer service when they open and ask about inventory.

They are not being rented, you just did not get in quick enough, or there was a system glitch.
I had a similar experience with a Marriott proper where I can book at 13 months via phone but it was all gone at 9:06 after waiting in hold.
It is just your bad luck.

Marriott is not renting your weeks. Lots of owners are vying for the same dates. It's like this every year. Hopefully, you can be flexible.

Thanks for the replies. I bought pre construction and have been doing this for many years and this is the first time inventory was not available. I was thinking perhaps the reservation system changed.

I think the reservation system cannot handle the number of people who are online at the same time, and it's terrible for getting the weeks we want. Now they added this authenticator step, and I am unable to do anything with my login information. I can log into Rick's.
