Hi, I do not have any resale deeds but am looking to acquire one. If I buy resale at a mandatory resort, I know that week can convert to options but not Bonvoy points, correct? If I buy a resale deed at a non mandatory resort is that week able to convert to options also? If not and you don't want to go to that resort that year what do you do? Just don't go? Rent it?

Thanks

You are correct in that a mandatory resale will get you StarOptions but not Bonvoy points or Abound points (unless requalified at a ridiculous price).

A non-mandatory Vistana resale comes with neither StarOptions, Bonvoy convertibility, nor Abound convertibility. However, you can trade it in Interval and it would have a priority for other Vistana deposits.

thank you.

Anyone know what the recent minimum developer purchase at a vistana property not club points is for requalification of a resale? I know it used to be 10-15k range

I believe it is still $10K for the first VOI and $5k for each additional being requal'd at the same time.
