Question About Combining Multiple Wyndham Resale Contracts

Hello all. I just purchased my first timeshare and my Club Wyndham contract on ebay for 126,000 points for Fairfield Branson at the Falls with an Annual October Renewal date. I want to add at least another 60,000 or so points to my contract and want to get clarification on combining multiple contracts (searched TUG but couldn't find the specific answers I was looking for). My belief is that I can buy another contract on ebay and then combine them, so if that is correct, here would be my questions:

1) Does the next contract have to be at the same resort (Branson at the Falls) or can it be another Wyndham property in Branson or even any points based Wyndham property?

2) Does the other contract have to have the same renewal date (October)?

3) Can the closing company have the points added to my existing contract (I will not buy more points until I have first contract completed) or do I need to just contact Wyndham after all both contracts are in my name?

That's my main questions at the moment, this site has been a great resource to give me the courage and the answers for my first purchase. Thanks so much for everyone's help!

Bill ... you are buying contracts off eBay. Wyndham organizes contracts under your Member Number.

Each contract costs you $299 to add or get moved out of your member number. Adding SMALL CONTRACTS ends up costing your $299 to buy and $299 to sell PLUS all the closing and recording fees.

Wyndham would LOVE to have all contracts with the same date .. they even went so far as to align ALL contracts under everyone's Member Number ... once. They now appear to have gotten better tracking where the points come from and put them back to original USE YEAR.

PS Wyndham actually has decent technical writers ... every descriptive term in the Member Directory MEANS something .. if you find yourself saying, "oh, that is LIKE this & and that" ... you need to re-read it. There are N0 THIS IS LIKE THAT.

To answer your questions...

1- unless you want to ARP at a specific resort you can purchase points from any resort. At the 10 month mark points are points no matter what resort they are from.

2- no, the contracts do not have to have the same renewal date. Some people like all of them being same, others do not. My contracts have various renewal dates and I enjoy the flexibility.

3- you cannot add points to an existing contract, you can only purchase another contract and go through the closing/transfer process with that contract.

Hope this helps! Don't hesitate to ask if you have any more questions!

so multiple contracts can go into one member number (Up to 40 then you need another member number)

There will be one consolidated maintenance fee bill

points will be added up and you will get one transaction credit for every 77000 points and one housekeeping credit for every 1000 points

if you do have multiple use years you can leave it that way or ask them to make all contracts the same use year

To clarify number 3. If you buy a second contract, first the title is recorded, then it is sent to Wyndham. Wyndham can put both contracts under the same member number so the points can be used together (I have 4 contracts under my member number, others have many more).

I would suggest waiting for the first transfer to be reviewed at Wyndham before buying a second contract. That way u can make sure one is in their system under your name so you don't accidentally get two member numbers.

Do you get 1 guest reservation per member or contract?

One Guest Certificate per account/member number. Additional ones are $99/129 each depending on whether bought online or via phone.
