This show previewed recently at Boston's Emerson Colonial Theatre and apparently is Broadway bound next year. Did any TUGgers get the chance to see it? I'm headed to Boston next week and was looking up events to fill my evenings and I'm bummed that I just missed its preview.

This is the documentary on David and Jackie Siegel that has now been made into a musical. It stars Kristen Chenoweth as Jackie and F. Murray Abraham as David Siegel. I found some good reviews about it and it looks like it has a winning song titled The Ballad of a Timeshare King. šŸ˜†

I would have loved to had the chance to experience it as well as see the beautiful theatre it was presented in.

There was set to be a protest in Boston the day of the premier by a Westgate owner. Westgate even threatened legal action against those people who were planning to protest. In the end, Westgate finally agreed to let the person who was going to protest out of their Westgate contract. So there was no longer a need for them to protest.

Not much of a story to tell. Excesses of wealth. Wasteful living. Next!

The movie/documentary was interesting enough, probably because I am timeshare owner. Not sure how well this would translate to Broadway.. But plenty of other things I did not think would work, ended up being popular...

Iā€™ll always remember they had like four or five cute little dogs, none of whom were house trained. So the dogs would poop all over the house and the poor servants had to pick up the poop. Gross. With that kind of money they couldnā€™t afford a dog trainer.

I know of people like that. It's a simple task of taking your dog out for a walk 4 or 5 times a day.

Well I absolutely love Kristen Chenoweth, so I would see anything she is in, but from watching the clip it looks like it's more about a classic story of rags to riches to whatever came next (probably learning that family and friends are the real riches).

My childhood friend had several Pekingese who were not house trained. Youā€™d sit in the living room watching dogs poop on the carpet. They moved a couple cities over and the new house had a tiled addition that led to the swimming pool. Wall to wall pee and poop. Twenty years later one of our fellow Window Works franchisees in a city 30 miles further away commented about the disgusting poopy house sheā€™d been into the week before. I asked ā€œthe name wasnā€™t ā€œfriendā€™s momā€™s first and last nameā€ was it?ā€ Yep, it most certainly was!
