Purchase offer from AMG International

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have received a purchase offer of our Occidental / Allegro timeshare, by the company AMG International (Acquisition Marketing Group International Inc.) of Norwalk, Virginia; here is also involved in, a company that will perform the escrow and closing (Escrow & Title Consulting, LLC.) of Denver, CO. We want to know if someone else has had contact with these entities and if there has been any problem with them

Let me guess, they contacted you with great offer on your Mexican Timeshare. I gave a quick whois look at AMG and their website creation date is July 16th of this year. Pretty new for a company claiming to be in business for 20 years. Their website is pretty vague. They list that they set up "Fully Escorted Tours," but don't list what any of the perks are. The address they give in Virginia is a fountain, at least that's what Google Maps street view is.

I would not have any contact with them.

It's a common scam.

Here's how it works:

-After they have you completely hooked, they are going to charge you a bogus fee, and tell you that the fee will go into escrow until the close of the sale and then you will get it back.

-However, the fee will really go into their foreign bank account - not escrow.

-If they think you are really gullible, there may be several fees - we've seen people pay thousands of dollars in scammer fees.

-Eventually, they will disappear, and steal your money, and you won't be able to contact them.

There is no sale.
There is no buyer.
It's a scam.

Denise, I already enter a complaint on FBI IC3, thank God, we never wire any money, but we don't want that anybody gets trapped with these scammers

The fellow admitted to losing a lot of money, and posted to help others. The names of the companies change constantly. The game is always the same. And it is always Mexican timeshares. Run away.

They contacted you = SCAM

Since “they “have your contact information - you will continue to get these calls

Once one scammer has your contact information - they “all” do. .

I get at least one or two scam calls a month to my cell number
Next one will be about renting - Yada Yada etc.

Let me guess. They promised you tens of thousands of dollars for it and that they have buyer(s) on the line.

As Iggy Earl pointed out, the names constantly change but their pattern is quite the same. Once you're all excited at the prospect of getting tens of thousands of dollars for the non-existent sale of your timeshare, they will tell you that you have to pay some sort of fee or tax to complete the non-existent sale.
