Wondering which resort to stay at? I will be going with a group of lady friends, and we are interested in going out in town, as well as, staying on the beach. There will be about 5 of us. Does anyone know the difference between the 1-bedroom units at each resort? Square footage? Also, what is the kitchen set-up? I've run a couple forum searches, and really came up with one thread comparing the two. I was hoping to get some more detailed info. Any info on the All-inclusive rates? Is it worth it?

Any and all info would be great!

Thanks,
Sarah

Did you see this? http://www.sandinmysuitcase.com/which-is-the-best-pueblo-bonito-resort-in-cabo-san-lucas/

And an older thread from TripAdvisor that is still pertinent - http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopi...Cabo_San_Lucas_Los_Cabos_Baja_California.html

You have use of all the amenities when you stay at any of the Pueblo Bonito resorts in Cabo, and Rose and Blanco are right next door to each other (great location on Medano Beach), so the only difference is the rooms. I think the size and layout of Blanco is better for most units to have nice view, since it's in a wide "C" facing the beach. Rose is shaped in an elongated, upside-down "J" facing the beach, and units in the back are a long way from the beach, and can be very dark (we stayed in one).

I would never do all-inclusive for the whole week (maybe the minimum - it used to be 3 days). There are some nice restaurants at the resorts, but SO many more great places to eat and drink in town that are fun to explore!

Great, posts. I was leaning towards Rose, but now I'm leaning towards the other. ...lol

what about square footage of the rooms. Still can't seem to find that.

Thanks

I did AI the last time in Cabo (PBSB) for convenience, mostly, and it was a great deal for us (found a deal that made it 60 per person per day; keep in mind the AI is good at 3 PB resorts, Rose, Blanco, Sunset Beach).

I also think minimum is 3 days, they must be consecutive. Check the PB website periodically, you might score a deal that makes the decision very easy.

Good Advise, thanks.

Still really haven't decided on which resort. RCI says that the 1 bedrooms at the rose are 641 sq ft, and Los Cabos is 598.......to me that seems pretty small. Any comments on that?

thanks

No, I'm sorry, I've not stayed in either of these, and also am terrible in spatial relationships ; ) I would contact the resorts vs rely on RCI info. I can only say as to PBSB studio units, which I found spacious for 2 people.

I don't recall very well which was which, but one of the beach resorts had a very active pool area and the other was ... sleepier. I would pick the sleepier only because I'd rather keep my balcony door open and like chance of ocean sounds over pool area sounds. If your party is more likely to want to participate in the pool games and so forth then you might want the more active resort.

For me, I'm not as concerned about unit size as I am peace and tranquility once I've made it to Cabo (which is why I prefer Sunset Beach and request to be away from main pool). In theory you won't be in the room much anyhow so select the experience that more closely aligns with the overall plans for the trip on whatever merits. And then don't look back, look forward to a wonderful trip in Cabo!

You can't go wrong with either of these resorts, please don't torture yourself long on the decision!!

We've owned at the Rose since 1998 and have stayed there almost every year since. We've also stayed at the Blanco next door and at Sunset Beach.

In looking at the floorplans I have for the Rose, the Luxury Suite (one of the one bedroom plans) shows 640 sq. ft. in the unit and a terrace of 75 sq. ft. It will be fairly small for five people. There are two double beds in the bedroom, a sleep sofa in the living room and one bathroom.

There is also a one bedroom plan called the Executive Suite that has 876 sq. ft. in the unit, a terrace of 187 sq. ft., and two full bathrooms. That plan would be a bit more comfortable for five people. It, too, has two double beds in the bedroom and a sleep sofa in the living room.

It seems to me that the floorplans in the Blanco are similar. The Sunset Beach one bedroom is much larger.

But, we do prefer the location of the Rose and Blanco on Medano Beach because of being able to swim in the ocean and walk to town. The pool at the Blanco is smaller and quieter normally than the Rose, but when you stay at one you have access to all three resorts.

With five ladies in your party, if you could get a one bedroom and a studio, I think that would work better.
Of course, if you could get a two bedroom that would be the best of all, but there aren't many two bedrooms in the resort.
