Providence, RI Hotel Recommendation

Seeking opinions/ experiences concerning the Westin or Biltmore. Will be there for a business meeting. I am a Starwood Guest member but don't have enough stays with them for any perks, I would presume. TIA

I was there for our association's annual meeting just last year. The Biltmore is a nice and stately old property. The week before our group was there, the had been struck by lightening and the AC was working at half capacity.

The Westin (adjacent to the convention center) was our headquarters hotel. I was less than impressed with all aspects of the hotel and f/b staff. I would frankly not recommend either property.

There are other hotels in the near area. Holiday Inn and Courtyard by Marriott come to mind.

I have always enjoyed my stays at the Courtyard.

I think the Holiday Inn is/was being renovated and becoming a Hyatt.
