I just learned that I can do this but I know nothing about it? In essence, what do I gain and loose by converting my week to points? I bought this week to trade through II and have been happy with the results. Also, II has historically offered and AC for the week.

I know a wee bit more . . .

I now know that my week will get 154K points and that it will cost me $2395 to convert it.

FF will occasionally cut a deal with the Home Owners Association (HOA) to do conversions for $995 at that resort, They did this about 1.5 years back at their two St. Thomas properties.

Even so, while you will find many arguing both sides, if you are happy exchanging today, why spend the money? The biggest argument I know for points is that you can use them for 2-3 day weekends, not just full weeks.

Other than that reason, I wouldn't convert myself. I own a bunch of FF fixed and floating weeks.

The $995 deal is for the second and third week . . .

If the group of weeks is converted at the same time.
