I'm getting different price predictions for the same airfare search on different computers. I get the same search results as far as availability and price, but different recommendations to buy or wait depending if I use my desktop/tablet or laptop.
Can anyone explain what might be going on?

My best guess, I don't use bing.

Do you log in to a Microsoft email account (Hotmail, Live, MSN) on all devices while you browse the web? I'm sure bing is tracking your online activity on these devices, maybe that is the variation. Did you set up any preferences to base the recommendations on? Maybe those are device specific, or whether you are logged in to MS account on the device.

I read and posted an article last week sometime that Orbitz offered people logged in on Mac machines higher priced fares and accommodations than those who logged in on PC's. http://www.tugbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=173700 I have no idea if this is the case, but if it was me. I'd book on the lower-cost machine.

Hmmmmm, I just searched for a hotel in Simi Valley on my iPad using the Expedia app and it gave me a Holiday Inn express for $125/night. I went to the Holiday Inn web site using the iPad browser and got the same room for $99/night. Friggin gnome! Lol.
