Does anyone have experience with Priority Getaway Viewing?

I'm considering upgrading to Platinum in II mostly because of this perk. If it would allow me to see (and book) Getaways ahead of non-Platinum members, it could be worth the cost.

Here's the T&C from the II website: "Interval Platinum members are afforded “Priority” Getaway viewing, which allows the Interval Platinum members to view and reserve Getaway resort accommodations up to seven days in advance of other Interval Members, provided, however that Priority Getaway viewing does not apply to any resort accommodations 59 days or less before their initial date of occupancy. Resort accommodations will be available to all Interval Members in good standing at that time."

Any advice is welcome :)

priority getaway viewing

I have been a Platinum member for a while and rarely see any priority viewing. In my opinion, this isn't a feature that I would consider worth even having.

I recently saw some priority getaways at Aruba Surf Club and Ocean Club. While I could see them, they weren't prices that I would be willing to pay. I wouldn't upgrade to Platinum for this benefit alone. Only upgrade if you can earn back the savings from the $50 getaway discounts and/or free guest certificates.

I have been a member for a while and I think the only 2 perks worth being a member are the free guest certificates and the $50 discounts on getaways. I do not see may priority Getaways. The airline companion certificates don't really seem worth it either. The prices seem high to me. I can do better myself checking the airlines consistently.

Thanks all for the replies. Based on your experience, it looks like it probably isn't worth it. If I could get better getaways, I'd make more use of the $50 discounts and guest certificates so it would be a bonus all around - oh well
