Having just now left the RCI.com site, I am quite puzzled about how / why (in multiple, separate instances) the very same units available for the very same weeks at the very same resorts somehow reflect two very *different* weekly costs in the "Last Call" vs. the "Extra Vacation" listings.

The differences are not insignificant --- extra vacation figures are 1/3 again higher.

How / why is this even possible???? What am I possibly missing here????

blue light specials

the extra ... is a cheaper , sale price for a timeshare usually in the next 45 days , but can be year away and have costs of over a thousand...

the last calls are ... last minute 30 day out inventory they know will go unused... usually these are 15 days or less out... These seem to be picked and placed on the blue light last call shelf by a human... these always seem to have set price of 129, 179, 229 ,,, for a single room, one bedroom, 2 or more bedrooms.

so I would think they have a number of units during certain periods of time that would always be in the extra vacations, and then they may place a few of these on the last call shelf (bargain basement)

theo,

Just to rule out system problems, can you give me an example of a pricing discrepancy you see online. I'd like to check into it!
