Possible water damage at Wyndham Majestic Sun

I received a report of an issue with either the fire sprinkler system or perhaps a water line at Wyndham Majestic Sun in Destin, which resulted in possible flooding and water damage for an unknown number of units. The resort was evacuated at about 3:30 am, and most guests were allowed to return to their rooms about two hours later.

The individual who sent me the video stated they were moved to Wyndham Emerald Grande. The short video I was sent showed a large amount of water pouring from the living room ceiling in multiple places.

The front desk would not confirm or provide any details, which is a little unusual in my experience but not unprecedented. Two individuals I've spoken with have said that approximately thirty units have been impacted including the 4br presidential, but without staff verification that can not be confirmed.

If you have a reservation there for June or July, I'd recommend you call and speak with the front desk in a day or two to determine if your stay has been impacted. Hopefully, the front desk will be authorized to speak about the issue.
