#1 18 cruises

#2 Eastern & Western Caribbean's. Transatlantic, New England, Southern Carribean, Holy Land, Mediterranean and Asia

#3 Royal Carribean, Disney and our favorite Celebrity Cruise Lines

To correctly answer: How many Tug members are cruisers?, you need to have ZERO (0) as an answer, at least as to those that want to answer.

True. I'll change the question. ;)

I have been on cruises, but don't consider myself a cruiser. Have been on 4. Two were with RCL and two with NCL. After the last cruise I doubt we'll go again.

Yes, I'm both a TUG member and a cruiser. My first cruise was 40 years ago and my next is in April.
We've cruised on Royal Caribbean, Holland America, Azamara, and mostly on Celebrity. We have cruised to Alaska twice, the Pacific coast, from Vancouver to Hawaii, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean (eastern, western, and southern), Bermuda, transatlantic (twice), British Isles, and Australia. I've probably missed a few, and we done the Caribbean multiple times. We've also done a river cruise with AMA.

We've done 7 cruises. Our first was 20+ years ago and our last was in 2019.
We're planning to do more cruising once we retire and have more time
  • Royal Caribbean (3 - Eastern and Western Caribbean)
  • Disney (1 - Bahamas)
  • Princess (2 - US Pacific)
  • Norwegian (1 - Hawaii)

I agree with Luanne in that I have done numerous cruises, but I don't think of myself as a cruiser. The decision to cruise for me rests on the destinations more than the general cruise experience. While I have island hopped I prefer taking a cruise when it visits destinations that I might not consider flying to or on adventures like the Amazon where a ship is the experience.

I have cruised on Seabourn, Crystal, Windstar, Holland America, Oceania, QE 2, QM 2, Yamal (Russian Nuclear Ice Breaker), and Lindblad Explorer. I almost forgot, we did several Disney cruises years ago.

To the OP: You need add Zero to your survey. IMHO...
There are many TUGGERS that have never cruise before.

After the Covid-19 pandemic that have been so many cutback by the various cruises lines; example the quality of food and service by staff.
April 2024 will be our first cruise since the Covid-19 pandemic.

Poll #1: How many cruises have you been on? 28, yet I prefer to count by nights and not cruises... I’ve been on ships for 327 nights.
Poll #2: Which destinations have you sailed? Alaska, Pacific, Mexico, Mediterrnean, Middle East, Asia, Australia, Transatlantic, Transpacific
Poll #3a: Which Ocean cruise lines have you sailed with? Princess, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, MSC, NCL, Virgin, Windstar

The specific purpose of these 4 polls is to get an idea of the experience level of the folks who will most likely answer some of the questions asked in this new CRUISE forum ;)
The number of TUG members who have never cruise before isn't relevant for this poll.

So far, we have a good number of folks who have lots of cruise experience. :)

We’ve been on one cruise with Holland America from Vancouver, BC to Alaska. We enjoyed the experience, but didn’t plan on taking any other cruises in the future. However, we decided to take a Greek Island cruise with Royal Caribbean and a Baltic cruise with Princess next May/June. The primary reason is to visit the various locations along the way. We do look forward to comparing the various experiences.

We use cruises and escorted tours to visit other places.
The brief visits help us determine which areas we may want to revisit for longer stays. ;)

i did not know TUG was going to add a new forum on cruising.

I use a cruise to see where I want to return and spend more time on my own. So I have returned to Greece several times, Italy several times, France a lot. Going to Norway on a HAL cruise in June with ideas for a land trip on my own after that.

My personal cruise history extends across 40 years.

1983: Caribbean cruise with my sister
1998: Disney cruise to Bahamas with DH and kids
2012 - 2022: 2 European river cruises, one Greek Islands cruise, and one Royal Caribbean western Caribbean cruise with DH, plus one Columbia River cruise with DH and my dad
2024: planned Disney cruise to western Caribbean with DH

We really love the “unpack once, visit several places” nature of cruising!

This is the new forum. The following is from the sticky.

By popular demand, we now have a forum dedicated to Cruise Vacation Travel!

Hope everyone enjoys the new forum and it becomes a popular location to organize and share information on Cruises!
