Poipu dinner recommendation

I'm looking to take my wife out for a nice dinner for our anniversary in a couple weeks during our stay at the Sheraton Poipu. Would prefer a place in the South near the resort.
The Beach House looked nice.

The Beach House is a really nice restauant in South Kauai right on the water. Nice Sunset view. Theree are 2 other nice restaurants in that area but not on the water: Merrimans and Eating House 1849 which is a Roy Yamagucchi restaurant.

My dad took us to the Beach House in 2016 - it was one of the more memorable meals we've had, mostly for ambiance (the view is spectacular, especially at sunset) but we had delicious food as well. I can't remember what I ate, but it was most likely fresh fish! It's definitely on my list to return to, if I'm ever on Kauai again.

We ate at Eating House 1849 that trip as well, and I remember having delicious food, but the location is in a strip center and not nearly as amazing as the Beach House.

IOW, I'd definitely recommend the Beach House for an anniversary dinner!

We love the sunset views from the Beach House. When the sun is about to touch the water, many patrons will walk out onto the lawn to watch it. If conditions are just right, you might even see a green flash. Better book it now and try for a 6:30 seating so you can watch the 7:15 sunset. Reservations fill up fast.

In case you can't get in on your anniversary night, I'd recommend Tidepools.

It's not an ocean view, but it's a very serene lagoon view. If your table is next to the water, the koi fish may swim up begging for snacks. For food and service, it's the best we've found in Poipu.

Eating House 1849 and Merrimans also have excellent food, but they are in a mall, although it's a very nice mall.

Yes, we like both Beach House and Tidepools. Great service Food and atmosphere at both of them.

We were just there a couple weeks ago. I would recommend Beach House for an anniversary dinner if you can get a reservation. We went to Merriman’s and enjoyed their happy hour menu, so would recommend them for another dinner out.

If you go to The Beach House, try and time your reservation with sunset. Spectacular sunset view and the green parrots flying in to roost in the trees for the night are entertaining.
