Points: Goodwill & Special Event/Exchange

Now that I can actually log into my account, I have snooping around trying to find things. I came across the following points related entries.

Goodwill Award 25000 points
Special Event/Exchange 82000 points

These were added into my account as point adjustments on 7/6/2017.

Has anyone encountered these before?

Are there other strange things that you have found in the new system?

Nope nothing in my account but i haven't had any issues. Maybe you found a nice rep that put it in your account since you had a lot of problems getting in.
 
That is really odd. I have not seen that in my account.

However, my current available points shows as (negative) -5,135,500 but I can still make reservations. As I have made some reservations and more cancellations (at full price), this negative balance is actually lower than the (negative) -6,000,000+ it showed with the new website rollout.

Gotta love the Wyndham Brain Trust.

Goodwill Award points are generally points given as a result of complaint. I have received some comp points in the past. The term goodwill points is just a label probably used for accounting purposes to account for the points.
 
Last month when I was moved from a pool view room to a non pool view room the difference was added back to my account and labeled goodwill award

Where do you see the goodwill reward? I am supposed to get some goodwill points, and I wasn't sure where they would be?

Point history will show how many points and what timeframe or points bucket they were put in. Then you can go to that point bucket and see total points in the timeframe they are available
