Point Transfers/Buying Points (Specifically in HGVC system)

Hello Timeshare owners!

I'm working on a tax strategy that requires renting my timeshare back to my business. I've "heard" that there is an active and (safe?) formal or informal "market" for points transfers between HGVC owners, and that such transfers are supported by the HGVC system.

I won't necessarily utilize this strategy every year (or potentially even every two years!) so I'd like to stay away from stacking one or more HGVC contracts/deeds to obtain the necessary points, though that is how I initially approached this. I also know it is very easy to find HGVC owners willing to "rent" their reservation/stay/week using their points and put your name on the reservation, but that doesn't work for my tax strategy; for my strategy I need to have the points in my account, and the reservation needs to be made from my account using "my" points, even if they are "new-to-me" points from another owner.

Given the above, my question is probably pretty obvious: Is there a market (formal or informal) for points transfers between HGVC owners, and can this market/these points be reliably purchased on an as-needed (yearly) basis? I can be very flexible in the dates I use the points (probably irrelevant if they are points in my account, but still...)

HGVC doesn't allow rental of point based Club reservations.

Unless I missed something I do not think HGV allows the transfer of club points between owners.

Highly doubtful. You need a better AI subscription. Most MF per point with HGVC are > $0.1/pt. That would be a huge discount to get points at the rate you’re quoting.

As others have mentioned, point transfers directly from one member to another are not allowed. Even the work around that some use to book a stay using points and then rent the stay is not allowed under the rules and you risk having the reservation being canceled if discovered.

That sounds like Hilton Honors Hotel points not Timeshare points.

HGVC used to allow transfers when arranged with both owners and customer service on a conference call but that option is no longer allowed.
