Subject: On the Hunt for a WorldMark Platinum Membership – Need Advice! Hey WorldMark Community! I’m on a mission to either upgrade to Platinum or find someone willing to part with their Platinum Membership without going through the resort (because, let’s face it, their prices are insane). Does anyone know the best way to get a Platinum Membership? - Are there private sellers out there? - Any insider tips for upgrading without breaking the bank? - Or maybe you’re thinking about selling yours? Let’s chat! I’m serious about making this happen and open to creative options to get there. If you’ve done this before or know someone who has, I’d love to hear your advice or connect. Thanks in advance, everyone – let’s make this happen! Cheers, [Familyman1]

Platinum is a developer add on and can only be obtained by buying directly from the developer. The cost is tens of thousands of dollars over the cost of resale and the benefits you gain are just plain not worth it. Buy resale and pay for housekeeping and internet ($50/year) and RCI (or better and more cheaply II) and still come out saving lots and lots of dollars. The benefits of travel share at any level do not transfer with a sale. in other words, there is no way to buy a platinum account from another owner and have it remain platinum. They would just become plain old regular credits.

OR
Buy one of the original grandfathered accounts referred to as NHK (no housekeeping) accounts. The original program did not have a housekeeping charge and the owners of those accounts were grandfathered in. Go to wmowners.com and look at the for sale section to get a good idea of costs; these accounts sell for more than resale, but a whole lot less than travel share and you don't have to pay the extra travel share dues on top of it all.
