Has anyone done this? Was it worth it? What's the food like? Is it appropriate for a 4 year old? Any other thoughts? Thanks much!

It's OK & entertaining but don't expect...

It's OK and entertaining but like the other dinner/show places this is not the place to go for haute-cuisine. If you are interested in going there (we did and we enjoyed it) get 50% off coupons on restaurant.com and if you wait for the discount code times you can even get coupons at up to 80% off. :cheer:

I thought it was a waste of money and time,

Well my kids liked the show. The food was horrible - yuck. The show to us was cute yet corny -- but again -- the kids loved the show.

We have been to a few of these types of shows and this was the worst. We thought it was a total waste of money.

I just returned and we did the "Outa Control Magic Show" at wonderworks and it was very good for both adults and children. I did this show because it was ranked the 3rd most popular thing to do in Orlando out of 172 by Tripadviser.

You must make reservations in advance because it sells out almost very night. It is all you can drink beer, wine, and soft drinks combined with all you can eat popcorn, salad, pizza and cake for dessert for a total of $23.45 a person using the coupon. The pizza was good and you got bothe pepperoni and cheese, the wine was good, the beer was good old american beer, and the show was wonderful. My wife and myself laughed throughout the show as did the children about 5 and 12 years old sitting next to us. The show is held in a relativelly small room and so there are no seats which are far away from the stage. Get there 1 hour to 45 minutes early and you will get seated closer to the front. I left full, happy, and glad I went.

The Outa Control Show was a lot better deal than the $170 the 2 of us spent for Blue Man Group which included no food or drinks, and the Outa Control Magic show didn't have any slow boring moments like the Blue Man Group did. I would go to the outa control show again when I visit Orlando in the future, but I will never go to the Blue Man Group again. The best show in Orlando without a doubt is Tripadviser's number 2 ranked La Nouba, but it is expensive ($80 to $120 a person for good seats) and doesn't include any food or drinks. If I was only going to do one show in Orlando it would be La Nouba if price was not a factor (actually I would do La Nouba and Outa Control both if price was not a problem).

The pizza, salad, and dessert are good and all you can eat, the drinks never stop coming until right at the end of the show, and the comedy/magic act is one of the best I have ever seen. Combine that with less than $25 per person tickets and it is one of the best deals in Orlando IMO.

we did the pirates show this year as well.. got tickets for $20 buck for 4 people as a gift from Wastegates Timeshare tour..

we have been to Arabian Nights show twice and the kids 14 10 like it better.. the pirates show is kinda slow in spots and there is some loud bangs and lots of action at times that can overwhelming a younger child.. my 10yr old was almost to young for some sections of the show..

the food was ok but you are expected to clap and cheer all during the meal which is a pain..

They only do one beer run before the show and one toward teh end.. AN was a bit different, when every you wanted more (beer) they would bring a pitcher and sit in down for you ..

if you get tickets for CHEAP go,, if not don't waste the money..

Arabian Nights Is Lots Better.

Any other thoughts?
With just a little more attention to lighting & staging, the show could have been lots better.

Plus, they put lots of effort into choosing up fake "teams" to cheer for among audience sections -- more or less like Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede -- & I don't care much for that stuff. I just want to eat dinner & take in the show, without having to cheer raucously for whichever phony baloney "team" is in the lead at various staged climbing & semi-swashbuckling events.

We enjoyed the dinner show OK because it was free -- got the tickets as timeshare tour freebies. I would not have enjoyed it much if I had been a paying customer.

So it goes.
