I just got a match for Pine Acres Lodge from SFX for next summer. I'm really happy about it, but can't find much in the way of recent reviews anywhere. I do see the pics of the room, which looks fine - a good size kitchen for a studio room. Just wondering if anyone has stayed here in the last year or so.

Presley, we haven't stayed there, but we visited the resort a few years ago when we lived in San Jose. The resort seemed very basic and the rooms weren't anything special at that time. I'm obviously not sure if they have remodeled in the meantime.

However, the resort is in Pacific Grove, which is very nice. The area offers a lot.

While this would be my third choice of resorts in the area, behind Highland's Inn (Hyatt) and Pacific Grove Plaza, we could definitely make this work.

I checked TripAdvisor and the reviews were solid. One even noted that the unit was better than the pictures reflected.

Have a great time.

We stayed in a studio at Pine Acres Lodge, although it was not real recently. WE LOVED it there. The studio was fine. It had a Murphy bed that we ended up just keeping down. Plenty of room for two. Nice grills and a good hot tub. Plus the area is amazing. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

I stayed there, but it was years ago. I was with my mom and sister. We had a one bedroom and it was HUGE! My mom took the bedroom and my sister and I slept on the two fold out sofas in the living room. The only thing I remember is that the room where we slept got really cold at night.

The place was old at that time and needed updating, but the location was great and otherwise it was fine. I'd stay there again just for the location.

Yep, just a converted motel, but the location is great. Walking distance to the butterfly grove, lighthouse, Asilomar Beach, etc. I highly recommend October, when it should be sunny and warm, and the Monarchs will be in residence. Summertime will be mostly foggy and cold. But you can always head inland from there.
